At the midnight release party for the Twilight DVD, Borders released the above message from the cast of Twilight on the set of New Moon in Vancouver. Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Patinson took time to not only announce that the new DVD is now available but to also thank Twilight fans everywhere for there support.

New Moon films the First Few Scenes!

On March 20th, with the release of the Twilight DVD just a day away, Summit Entertainment began the filming of the sequel to Twilight, New Moon. They started their filming at Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island, Canada, not Washington( I thought it was Washington at first). While filming was originally scheduled until March 23, cast and crew were able to wrap up in on day. Everyone said that the weather was perfect for scenes, it was rainy and overcast, and perfect day for vampire friendly weather. What scenes are they filming in Canada? People are speculating that this would be the perfect place for the cliff scenes. If you would like to see pictures from the set go over to the Twilight Picture Gallery. Feel free to snag a picture but please leave a link back to me!

Catherine Hardwicke isn’t what?

Sad news this week from director Catherine Hardwicke, who has opted out of directing New Moon. She has decided to move on the other projects (which this week was announced to be a new child theme film from Summit called “If I Stay”). She seems to think it is healthier for twilight to have a new director for each film, following the theme created by the Harry Potter Series. Weither or not this is acutally the case the jury is still out for debate. I guess we will find out for sure in november. But who is this new director? Chris Weitz (director of American Pie, The Golden Compass, and King Kong to name a few).

Vampires in Italy

We have recieved offical word that New Moon and company will be in Italy from May 25th until May 30th. They will be filming in Montpulciano, Italy instead of the actual Volterra, Italy. I can’t wait to see the pictures of that! Make sure you check out the Twilight Picture Gallery, I will have new pictures up as I get them!

New Cast on the Scene of New Moon!

What would Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman be doing on the set of New moon in Vancouver? Sources say the they have been casted as Quil and Paul respectively. Check out the Twilight Picture Gallery to see these new actors.

And Obviously Twilight was Finally Released on DVD

Last but not least, Twilight was released on DVD. But we know all about that right? The extra features on the DVD include deleted scenes and a 2 hour commentary on from book to movie screen. Hope everyone is enjoying the new DVD. Stay tuned for next weeks Twilight News Synopsis.
